Description
The use of metal-ceramic crowns in dentistry has shown both its advantages in terms of strength and its disadvantages in terms of aesthetics. The external ceramic coating only partially creates the external effect of a natural tooth, even if the color of the ceramics is chosen very carefully. The fact is that the metal from which the framework is made does not have the transparency inherent in natural tooth tissues, and which ceramic materials successfully recreate. In addition, the metal has its own dark color shade, which is not always completely masked. Metal can have a negative effect on gum tissue
